CSP2151: Workshop 1General information about assessments of the unitIn this semester, we have two assignments and one final exam. The first assignmentconsists of three (assessable) workshops therefore requires three submissions. Thesecond assignment is the major assignment of the unit. Each workshop has two types of tasks: Assessable tasks and Non-assessable tasks. TheAssessable tasks not only test your knowledge and understanding of the keyconcepts/content covered in this unit, but also assess your ability to apply theprogramming skills learnt from the unit to solve problems. After completing therelevant Lab practice, you should be able to complete the assessable part of theworkshops by yourself and submit your work for assessment. On the other hand, thenon-assessable tasks are for practice only, allowing you to practice necessaryprogramming skills needed to complete your assessable tasks. You should be able todo the non-assessable part of the workshop after participated and completed relevantlab practice. The non-assessable tasks of all workshops will not be assessed thereforedo not need to be submitted.Information about the assessment topicThroughout of this semester, we will be focusing on one assessment topic: asimulation of a robotics competition. This theme will run through Assignment 1(consisting of 3 * workshops) and Assignment 2. The workshops are relatively simpleat first, and the
n gradually become more complicated as we learn more complexconcepts and programming skills. Each workshop will cover a part of the simulation, and Assignment 2 will be the complete implementation of the simulation. Somebasic information of the simulation is as follows:(news.mit.edu)The robotics competition simulates a robotics competition scenario, where the robot mayparticipate a race (to reach a pre-set finish line), and/or attempt to lift some heavy objects,and/or battle against humans, winning a score if it wins, and so on. Under variousconditions, the simulation will calculate various data items, such as the speed at which therobot races against others, the strength which is the number of heavy objects that the robotcan lift, and combat effectiveness, a winning chance when the robot combat against humanopponents, etc. etc. As a result of the simulation, the calculated data items are displayed onthe screen and may be saved in a file.ΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒΒNon-assessable tasks:Design and Implement the following:(1) Write a program to print ΒHello World!Β on the screen.(2) Write a Program that declares the variable speed_kmph and speed_mps. Ask the user to input avalue in kilometers per hour (km/h), convert the value to meters per second (m/s) and output theresult to the screen. The formula for converting from km/h to m/s is as follows:
