I provided the links for different sites which housed an example of the genre I chose which is Incident Reports. The last link has multiple different incident reports on it. Ive noticed a lot of differences between the different incident reports. To begin, some hold much more detail than the others. Some of these reports include date and time and names and others just provide basic information on what happened. The other thing I noticed was that you can literally write a report for pretty much any situation. In my field of loss prevention incident reports are helpful for referencing incidents that occurred, linking them to other cases, taking them to law enforcement for prosecution, etc. I always try to cover the who, what, when, where, and why aspects when report writing, because you never know who is going to need to pull the report for reference or what information might be needed.
