Now the most important thing about a policy brief is that it is direct and easy to read so i

ts not an academic paper per se but it will deal with a higher education matter. it needs a clear straight analysis that is written in a familiar language. a person needs to read it once and understand it without rereading a couple of times to understand what it is talking about ..the style in writing should be with the (I) pronoun, which means that i will be presenting this brief so i will use that pronoun to take ownership because it is my ideas that i am presenting
when writing the executive summary in the beginning it should not be generic it should be straightforward where it presents the premise and leads to the conclusion smoothly. This is not the time to decorate the writing in a flowery way. It’s a brief that would be ready to be delivered in front of a board in a meeting so it needs to be clear and direct and there has to be very good analysis behind this …the writing is not the really hard part but the searching and the thinking needs to be done thoroughly in order to come up with a really good idea for that specific association ….
so as you will see in the attachment there is a problem and the association i am responsible for is NAICU (National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities)
