Apply the continuous quality improvement (CQI) process and the PDSA cycle to the clinical problem at the clinical site.The DNP degree and professional focus is on quality improvement (QI) for better patient outcomes. Continuous quality improvement (CQI) is a method of systematically implementing evidence-based change. The Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) is one of the most used CQI approaches. Students will apply the CQI and PDSA cycle to the identified clinical problem from Assignment 2.
Assignment Criteria:
Using the clinical problem identified in Assignment 2, develop a scholarly paper addressing the following criteria:
1. Apply the continuous quality improvement (CQI) process and the PDSA cycle to the clinical problem at the clinical site.
2. Identify why this is a problem at the site (needs assessment)
3. State some of the potential evidence-based interventions that can be implemented to address the problem in the PDSA cycle.
4. The scholarly paper should be in narrative format, 3 to 4 pages in length, excluding the title and reference pages.
5. Include an introductory paragraph, purpose statement, and a conclusion.
6. Include level 1 and 2 headings to organize the paper (use level 2 headings for each of the chosen three criteria being discussed).
7. Write the paper in third person, not first person (meaning do not use we or I) and in a scholarly manner. To clarify: I, we,
you, me,
our may not be used. In addition, describing yourself as the researcher or the author should not be used.
8. Include a minimum of three professional peer-reviewed scholarly journal references (in addition to the assigned seminal works)
