Question 1 (This is a two-part question)
Part A:
Steve Smith is a restaurant owner who wants to spend his $50,000 to modernize his restaurant by adapting more closely to the preferences of his repeat customers as well as attracting new customers. Steve is hoping the new system will allow him to keeping track of his customers likes and dislikes. Moreover, Steve is also hoping the new system will capture & track information such as where they like to sit, what they like to eat, and when they normally arrive at the restaurant. Steve believes that with this new innovation, he will be able to better serve his customers, who will then go online and write positive reviews which would attract new customers to his restaurant. Steve believes that his annual revenue of $200,000 will increase every year by 4% (over the next 4 years) when you factor in the additional revenue generated by new customers (in addition to his current repeat customers). Presently Steve spends about 32 percent of each dollar on the cost of food and beverages, 33 percent on salaries and wages, and from 5 percent to 6 percent on restaurant occupancy costs. Steves restaurant is hoping to have the new information system in place and operational six months from now. Steve is also incapable of spending no more than $50,000 on a new information system solution. Steve has asked you to develop a system for him that will help make his customers happy while increasing his business.
You have heard what Steve had to say about his customers. There are certainly more preferences that he can keep track of. Develop a system request for Steve, as discussed in Chapter 1 of the System Analysis and Design, Fifth Edition online textbook ITEC630_Session1.pptx
Part B:

Please explain to Linda Smith why your system pro
