To start this weeks discussion off honestly, I like to read but for pleasure. I have never been a great reader when it comes to school work. I always did the bare minimum. of mind I have 100 other things I need to be doing. For this discussion, I took the time to read chapter 2 and implemented the SQ3R in as areas. It definitely took me longer, but I completed it. I surveyed, questioned, read, recited and reviewed. I am hoping for the remainder of this course and all future courses that I use the SQ3R method and become a stronger reader. This method I think I will even introduce to my young children so that they understand exactly what they are reading and continue to enjoy reading. I think it is important to understand what you are reading even if it just for pleasure. I am going to attempt this method with everything I read, from course books, recipes, and online articles. My question is will my writing improve from changing my habits of just surveying a chapter to actually applying the SQ3R?
